Smash Hit With the Cool Davis Festival!

Hey you...yeah, you. We just want to say thanks for coming to the third Cool Davis Festival. Thousands of attendees came down to Central Park to enjoy warm sunshine and a wonderful mix of music, theater, kids’ activities, plug-in electric vehicles, bike safety, and exhibits with lots of practical solutions on how to reduce your greenhouse gas emissions.

If you missed it, that's okay--there's always next year and in the meantime you can check out the Davis Enterprise coverage.

Hometown Heroes: The Perry Family

This fantastic family installed ten 4’x10’ raised garden beds in their yard and now they grow most of their own vegetables and lots of seasonal fruit. What they don't grow at home, they buy local and organic. They've been asked many times, "How do you get your kids to eat so many vegetables?" Their answer, "It's easy— WE grow them!"
Nice growing, Heroes, nice growing.

Are you a Hometown Hero?
How do you go green? If you or someone you know has a story to tell or tip to share, please email Challenge@coolcalifornia.org. We’ll highlight a Hometown Hero in each newsletter.
