Sacramentans love pedaling around on our own power. We’ve got lots things to see and do, so get out of your car and get on your bike! Cruising is easy and fun.

Congratulations, Will!!

This week’s raffle winner is Will, who won a Phillips LED bulb, valued at $25. This bulb is dimmable, emits white light equivalent to a 60 watt incandescent, but uses only 12.5 watts. The bulb is estimated to last 22.8 years, and will save $130.62 in electricity costs over its long life. Another great way to reduce carbon emissions and save money!

Climate Hero: John "Bucky" Perez

John’s health has improved dramatically since he began commuting about 5 miles each way to and from his workplace. He has been saving about $100 a month on gas, and actually enjoys getting to and from work these days. “After getting off work, riding my bike is a great way to unwind. It’s a good time to think too. When I get home, it’s a completely different feeling than when I drove.”
