	Who we are The CoolCalifornia Challenge is a project of Pleasanton residents, the City of Pleasanton and organizations and businesses in our community. Join us on our mission to make Pleasanton a Cool California City. Pleasanton is currently in 4th place to be named the Coolest California City. May is the perfect time to ramp up! Learn more

May 10 is Bike to Work Day in Pleasanton! Come help celebrate National Bike Month and California Bike Commute Week in May with Bike to Work Day. Bike to Work Day is a promotional event to encourage non-bike riders to try commuting by bicycle. Bike to Work Day in the San Francisco Bay Area is primarily funded by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission with the help of financial donations from event sponsors and volunteers

	Pleasanton is on a roll! During the "warm up" month of April, 67 Pleasanton residents signed up for the CoolCalifornia Challenge. Check out the Challenge Scoreboard for real-time updates on who's in the lead. We're currently 4th place in the points rankings! Only the top 3 cities will compete for the title so help us get the word out and start earning those points! If you've already signed up, remember to keep logging your energy usage when you get new utility bills to earn more points and help us win the title of the Coolest California City.

Statewide Challenge Update
May Is National Bike Month! Reducing driving is the single greenest action Californians can take! For the typical California household, biking ten miles per day instead of driving is equivalent to getting nearly half of the household's electricity from solar panels. Get 50 Kudo Points for Uploading Your Biking Photo! In celebration of National Bike to Work month you'll earn 50 points for uploading a photo of yourself on your clean green machine. Upload Here Now Track Your Driving! You can now log your vehicle mileage for a chance to earn more points… similar to energy, the less you drive compared to average households, the more points you win!
