Making Your Garden Grow
The Recycling Center and Transfer Station in Pittsburg is now selling compost! Mixing compost into soil will have many benefits, like providing nutrients that help plants grow and helping the soil hold onto moisture. It can even help slow down weed growth. Compost is also good for preparing soil for new lawns and can also be used as a top dressing or mulch. Stop by 1300 Loveridge Road or call (925) 473-0180 for more information or to buy some today. |

Shuttle and Shop
Take a shuttle to shop? Let us know what you think! The City of Pittsburg would like to know if a shuttle could serve your daily travel needs and bring you to shopping, dining, recreation, and work destinations in the City. Your participation with this study (by completing the survey) will help determine its feasibility. Taking the survey will also enter you into a drawing for a gift card!
Visit: www.pittsburgshuttle.weebly.com to take the shuttle and give us your opinion. |

Cut down doubly on your emissions – pledge to ride your bike more often and eat less red meat! It’s easy to set up one meat-free day per week for your family. Take the pledge and browse recipes at MeatlessMonday.com. |
